Welcome

Catherine Merrill will be serving as our student pastor for the coming school year. A longtime resident of Andover, Catherine has her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College as well as her MBA from Dart-mouth. She's in her final year of seminary at Andover Newton Theological. Before seminary, Catherine's career took her into the wilds of the financial services industry, which she left for the even wilder habitat of several internet startups. This past summer she has worked as a Chaplain Resident at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, honored and moved by so many people welcoming her into their lives, often when strangers would be least appreciated.

Away from the books, Catherine cycles (not very far or very fast), plays bridge (working on her defense), loves to cook and do fancy needlework. She hates the weekends when she has so much to do that she has to decide between going to the movie theater to see the Metropolitan Opera or watching the Patriots play on Sunday.
