NEWS FROM STEWARDSHIP
 
Hello from the Stewardship Team!  We hope that by now you received our stewardship appeal and survey in the mail.  We ask you to help us achieve our goal of completing this year's campaign before the start of Advent by returning your pledge card and survey on or before Sunday, November 20.

 IMAGINING ANOTHER WORLD -- NEIGHBORS IN NEED OFFERING Minimize
Neighbors in Need (NIN) is a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry. Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC's Justice and Witness Ministries to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects.
Through our generous gifts to Neighbors In Need, the UCC is offering hope to millions of people. In the process we transform lives, the nation, and our world.
Special envelopes have been placed in the pews for your support.

UCC Annual Dues - - How You Can Help
As many of you know, all UCC churches are assessed annual dues to support the many activities of the Conference. In addition to its extensive charitable work both locally and around the world, the Conference is an enormously valuable resource for Central Church, for Rev. Ney, and for many of us as individuals. The dues are $18 per member and, as we did last year, we are asking for voluntary donations of $18 per member to help us defray this expense. --From the Trustees
Support Education for Life!


Have you upped your pledge? Make an investment in Christian education by pledging toward our goal to hire a part-time CE Director. Education for Life is an initiative created out of passion and need for a Christian Education Director. Our goal is $20,000 a year in pledges for the next three years. In 2010 we tested a new means for paying pledges electronically via and Electronic Funds Transfer directly from a checking or savings account. the program was a great success and was especially beneficial to keep income flowing into the church during the normally slow summer months when attendance and, therefore, weekly collections in the offering plate are substantially lower.   

There is no cost to you and this is a secure and easy to manage process that some folks argue is better for the environment too. Please contact Jeff Gray at 978.462.1476 or by email at jeffreysgray@comcast.net) if you have any questions or need assistance signing up for this service.
