If you would like to honor someone in this special way. Although we would love a small donation to help with the costs, it is not necessary. Your sentiments are what are important! Please give Marilyn in the office a call at the church office 978-465-0533 with your request.

Leader: To take the clay of our lives, and shape disciples:
People: God calls us to the Potter’s House
Leader: To receive and mend those who are broken from life experiences:
People: God calls us to the Potter’s House
Leader: To love and heal those who are wounded from war:
People: God calls us to the Potter’s House
Leader: To shelter all who are outcast and heavily burdened:
People: God calls us to the Potter’s House
Leader: Let us enter this place of transformation:
People: And worship our God!
*OPENING HYMN All Who Love and Serve Your City (See Insert)
Leader: We have watched those broken by violence and war and life’s challenges suffer before us.
People: We confess that you are a God of love and peace
Leader: Too often we have stood around them without extending a helping hand.
People: We confess that you are a God of love and peace
Leader: Sometimes we have looked down upon them because they labored in war.
People: We confess that you are a God of love and peace
O God, You call us to live in a Just Peace Church, to work for justice for all and to seek pathways to peace so that we may end war’s destruction of human life and of creation. Yet we are part of wars that have gone on around the world. We have not found the words or the wisdom to guide our leaders into the ways of healing and peace.
Leader: O God, you call us to minister to all your children, including soldiers fighting in war, and their families. We confess that we have not developed ministries to touch those who return from combat broken in mind and soul.
Leader: Mold us into the people you need to heal returning warriors, military families, and societies battered from the war in the Middle East. We confess that we need to be put on your wheel, so that we might minister love and healing in your holy name. Amen.
Leader: God’s word assures us that everything we need to be disciples is in the Potter’s House. God is able to place us on the wheel and shape us into vessels that will serve all people. We can leave this place with the assurance that we are being molded daily by the Potter and when we come forth we shall love like God. Friends, believe the Good News of the Gospel
All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, Forever. Amen.

COMMUNION PRAYER (In Unison)
Gracious and loving God, we give you thanks for all the blessings we experience—for your presence with us in worship, the bounty and diversity of your creation, and the precious gift of unexpected joy. As we have felt your healing presence, we ask that you be with us as we gather at Christ’s table. Keep us mindful of the covenants you made with our ancestors and the promises that we have made to you. Refresh us and renew us that we might become faithful laborers in your harvest of peace, justice, and joy. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING (In Unison)
Loving God, who is and who was and who will be, we give you thanks that you have claimed your victory and begun to reign. We thank you for this feast of love which is a foretaste of the day when all will be gathered, reunited with Christ the Lamb. May that day come soon and may we have the courage to serve you in faithful obedience that your justice and compassion might triumph on earth. Amen.

There are many wonderful opportunities for a member of the congregation to be the Lay Reader for a particular service. Being a participant in a service is rewarding and enlightening. It is easy - Chris emails the texts to you so you have a chance to go over them prior to the service. You then have the choice to read out of the Bible or from the printed pages. Please volunteer to become a member of the esteemed Good Book Readers. Either sign up on the sheet posted in the social hall or contact Debbie Aldrich at debaldrich39@msn.com or 978-463-4995. I look forward to hearing you!
